According to data from the China Automobile Association, in May, the loading volume of China's power battery has reached 9.8GWh, a year-on-year increase of 178.2% and a month-on-month increase of 16.2%. Among them, the output of ternary batteries reached a total of 5.2GWh, a year-on-year increase of 95.3%, and a month-on-month increase of 1.0%; there is a total of 4.5GWh of lithium iron phosphate batteries, a year-on-year increase of 458.6% and a month-on-month increase of 40.9%.
In the power battery output this month, ternary battery and lithium iron phosphate battery still occupy an absolute dominant position. Together, the two accounted for 99.8% of the total power battery output that month. However, with the gradual increase in the volume of lithium iron phosphate battery, there is a big difference in the proportions of these two batteries. Among them, the proportion of lithium iron phosphate battery output rose to 63.6% this month, far exceeding 36.2% of the ternary battery.
Through technological innovation in the past two years, the current endurance milage of 400 to 600 kilometers of lithium iron phosphate battery has been able to meet the needs of most passenger car owners, and the price is also more advantageous.
