On June 25, Tianneng Group officially commissioned its Indonesia manufacturing base in Surabaya, marking an important step in the company’s global expansion and its commitment to sustainable development in Southeast Asia.

The commissioning ceremony and partner conference were held under the theme “Powering the Future, Greening Indonesia – Creating New Value in Green Energy with Partners.”Representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Surabaya, the East Java Investment Office, the Indonesian Electric Motorcycle Association, and leading industry enterprises attended the event.
During the ceremony, Tianneng signed strategic cooperation agreements with PT Tri Mega Baterindo, Goda, U-winfly, GreenTech, AIMA, and other partners to jointly promote the local new energy ecosystem.
Mr. Zhang Tianren, Chairman of Tianneng Holdings Group, noted in a video address that the Indonesia base reflected both the company’s support for the Belt and Road Initiative and its strategic shift from product export to capability integration. The project was positioned as a green smart manufacturing demonstration site, focused on local talent cultivation, technology transfer, and shared value creation.

Ms. Dyah, head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) of East Java Province emphasized that the project aligned with Indonesia’s national energy transition agenda and contributed to the growth of electric mobility and the green economy. The East Java provincial government expressed continued support for the base’s stable operations.

In response to Southeast Asia’s high-temperature, high-humidity, and corrosive climate, Tianneng introduced localized products, including high-temperature optimized lead-acid batteries, sealed lithium-ion batteries, and high-energy-density solid-state batteries for premium electric motorcycles.
Looking ahead, Tianneng planned to establish a full-lifecycle lead battery industry chain in Indonesia and expand into lithium motive power, energy storage systems, start-stop batteries, and industrial power batteries, providing stronger support for regional energy transformation.
